How far have post-industrial cities advanced in their transformation towards a more sustainable, economically vibrant future? What are the new challenges they face? Torino is one of ten case studies examined in a new book, Remaking Post Industrial Cities: Lessons from North America and Europe (Routledge, 2016). The German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF), in partnership with the Compagnia di San Paolo and Torino Strategica, invite you to a presentation on the how these cities have leveraged their industrial legacies and successfully reused sites for innovation, economic development, and job creation. The presentations will be followed by a discussion on how these transatlantic insights can inform Torino’s evolution as a post-industrial innovation hub.
