How can we drastically reduce re-use times and reactivate the industrial heritage too often abandoned in our cities? The experimental project Casa Zera promoted and coordinated by TRA in the framework of the activities of the Innovation Center for the green building of the Piedmont Region proposes the creation of prefabricated wooden modules with high energy performance, ready to be inserted into existing industrial structures, after their rapid preparation. A radical model of adaptive reuse that is linked to radical experiments on autonomous housing modules of the 1960s, revisiting its spirit in a post-industrial perspective.
